"The faces I have seen distorted by hate are of people for whom I have the most profound compassion, as most of them have not had enough to eat." Henry Wallace - Iowa farmer, agricultural publisher, Vice President under FDR, statesman, feminist, socialist sympathizer and futurist.

Carpentry, Painting and Maintenance
If you have any talent with basic carpentry and woodworking, the work involved in the maintenance of our many ranch buildings is constant re-polishing.

Garden Work
The garden always needs tilling, planting, weeding and harvesting.

Horse Work
While this work requires signing a waiver, it is pretty safe. A volunteer may find themselves lunging horses, driving and grooming them. Possibly even cleaning stables!

Tractor & Field Work
We make our own hay for the horses we breed here. If you are interested in riding our antique tractors, you'll find it is the agricultural equivalent of finding an old calliope actually works!
